    Biography

I have always loved music. At 14 I became a D.J. and soon decided just playing the records wasn't enough. I began to experiment mixing an acappella from one song to the instrumental of another. Adding different sounds and effects came next.
After some time I began to right lyrics. Not yet comfortable with my voice, I began to rap (singing was not an option). I soon realized that what I had been doing was arranging music. Fast forward many years later and old buddy (Rolando Rivera) and I began making music together. We were writing songs, practicing, and trying to perfect our craft. Neither of us were experienced but we both had a great love for music.

Then I joined the Army. In 1988 for my 1st duty station I was send to Germany (Bad Kreuznach). While in Germany my 1st SGT decided that I would represent my company in the local talent competition. This I was not too happy about. I never sang in front of anyone. Not even my parents. I had a short time to get over it and won in the "male vocal soloist" category. From this he urged me to go into the "Military Star Search" competition. This was a real challenge. I entered with some friends as a group and we won and became "United States Army European Champions".

The next year I partnered with some other friends and did it again. In December of 1995 I was transferred back to America and left the Army for one year. That's When I met my now great friend (Singer & Producer) Jeff Kimpland. He discovered me while singing at a Karaoke show. He told me the "he wanted to do for me what he wished someone had done for him when he was starting out". He said he wanted to record me. I 1st thought it was a joke. Then he assured me he was serious. We recorded my 1st CD.
Through the years wecontinued to work together. I have learned so much from him. Jeff Kimpland presented me with the opportunity to have my song "Could've Been" featured in the indie movie "Characters" which won best drama in the 1997 New York Independent Film Festival.

I am currently still in the military and will be retiring soon. I am already going full speed with my music.
