Singer/Songwriter Jeff
Kimpland has had a great deal of passsion for music ever since he was a
child. Born Feb, 13th in Cortland New York, he started singing at the
age of 8 in school chorus. As he grew older he sang with several local
bands for the perfomance experience. He relocated to California and
continued to build his vocalist skills singing with other groups until
he moved back to upstate New York. With more band and recording
experience under his belt during that time, he soon moved to New York
City. It was there that Kimpland's career would really start to launch
and would eventually sign with Arista Records in the mid 90's.
Kimpland has had the pleasure
of singing with great groups such as Saharra, Eye of the Storm, Impact,
Blue Steel, Virtual Relaity, Innocence with Rage, Heir Apparent (of
Capital Records fame) and many others over the years. He has also toured
with groups such as Dream Theater, Rainbow, Zebra, Joe Lynn Turner and
others. He has performed with the Supreme's Mary Wilson as well. He sang
for Pepsi and Budweiser Beer in broadcast commercials as well as many
others. He has appeared as a special guest on many recording projects as
well as radio shows. Kimpland has also been asked to sing at special
benefits to help raise profits to support Cancer Research, Child Hunger,
as well as Animal and Child abuse just to mention a few. He has sang the
National Anthem on several occasions for some great venues. One was for
his favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills.
He has also worked as a
producer for vocalists such as Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Charlie Thomas
(of The Drifters) on his last 4 CD's. Kimpland has also recorded and
produced a number of solo projects for other musicians such as Chris
Taylor, Taylor Made, TJ Sacco, and R&B artist Spider. Jeff has had a
wide range of musicial influences and listens to a wide variety of music,
and prides himself on his ability to adapt to diverse musical styles.
